Melodic Comping Etudes - COMBO (Blues + 32-Bar Form)

This is a package combing both forms of Melodic Etudes I offer: 12-Bar Blues and 32-Bar Rhythm Changes.

These etudes, drawing inspiration from legendary jazz drummers like Art Blakey, Billy Higgins, Art Taylor, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Philly Joe Jones, and more. Unlike many books that focus on the indepence aspect of comping, these etudes offer a language-based approach to jazz comping, allowing you to immerse yourself in the language of the masters.

You can either work on each etude individually or group them together. They match up perfectly with both my rhythm changes and blues bass play along tracks if you're looking for a strategic and practical way of working on different tempos. I also recommend practicing them with your favorite tracks by your favorite artists.
